The FIS Congress has officially approved Bansko ski resort as the host of the FIS World Cup Downhill race for women for the up and coming 2008/2009 winter season. This decision comes after an official meeting in Cape Town, South Africa.
Following a long deliberation and assessment process, Bulgaria’s most advanced skiing resort will receive some of the best downhill races in the world on February 28th and March 1st. This decision is perhaps somewhat influenced by the successful hosting of the European Cup which was held at the resort last year.
Offering great snow conditions and excellent facilities, it is no wonder that Bansko has become an up and coming, world known ski destination.
