Location: The three star Famil hotel is a picturesque jewel with a very traditional Bulgarian architectural structure on the outside and a modern design on the inside. It is an idyllic getaway amidst a pictorial mountain setting. Much attention has been paid even to the minutest details and the high quality and class of the hotel is evident throughout.  The hotel is in the vicinity of the Glazne river and the first station of the Gondola lift, thus it is ideal for those who enjoy skiing and snowboarding.

Accommodation: There are 9 double rooms, 1 penthouse and 2 family houses. They are all modernly furnished including traditional materials such as dark wood.  The rooms include: cable TV, bathroom, telephone, mini bar and spacious balconies. The apartments have fireplaces and massage baths, while the family houses (which can accommodate up to 6 people) have a fireplace, fully equipped kitchens, dining rooms and TVs.

Food & Drinks Facilities: The Famil Mehana (or tavern) dishes up some of the most mouthwatering specialties representative of the area and Bulgarian gastronomy in general. The extensive selection of wines will also please connoisseurs, as will the local spirits such as home brewed rakiya (grape brandy).  The mehana can comfortably seat up to 40 guests and the large central fireplace adds to the cozy, mountain ambiance. 

Getting there: There are regular buses which travel between Bansko and other large and small cities throughout Bulgaria. In thanks to the improved infrastructure, access to and from the resort is easy and worry free all year round.

Nights out: The centre of Bansko is only a short walk away from the Famil Hotel. All the restaurants in the centre are open throughout the year and offer an array of national and international cuisine. The same applies to the many bars, pubs, taverns and discos which entertain even the most discerning visitors. 

Spa and Leisure: There are massages offered at the Famil hotel which guests can enjoy, especially after a long day hiking, mountain bike riding or skiing. There is also a brand new sauna which will just soothe the whole body and calm down the mind.
